Gentle hint
24.02.2007The first shoes of transparent plastic were created in 40th years by the known designer of footwear Roje Viv’e. And the most bright occurrence of this unusual material was promoted by futuristic collections of the beginning of 60th years. In 1964 Andre Kurrej has shown his collection "Space age". He dressed models in transparent helmets. In 1965 Pako Rabann realized his searches of "materials of the future" in well-known dresses of plastic, metal, gold and even cellophane. And one year later Pierre Karden has created another well-known space collection. In 90th years futuristic moods came back, when irrepressible Pako Rabann again has new experiments with materials, reaching up to the most ridiculous ideas – for example, a dress from plastic bottles.
In the future season transparent invoices accompany to all possible accessories – bags (contents are accessible to curious sights), weightless appeared through platforms or heels, and large bracelets. Interesting thing – every designer has found his own treatment of this material. As example, gentle ornaments of flowers and feathers makes transparent open-toe sandals by Alexander McQueen real footwear for beautiful stranger. Other attributes of this retro-image – hats, hand-made embroidery, flying silhouettes of organza and silks. In collection by Alexander McQueen is leading by romanticism, but designer of Balenciaga Nicola Geskier has again returned to futuristic sources his heroine – real women-warrior wearing a jacket with the lapels similar to the blades or the dresses of acute-angled rags, and her attribute – "android" glasses in a transparent frame.
Creative director Lanvin Albert Elbaz has made leitmotives of the collection black color and shine – a trench-coat of shining, as if a wet textile, tunics and trousers suits made of leather. In this context there are realizing the accessories of dark plastic and the open-toe sandals with transparent heels of a steel shade. It is obvious, that transparent heels and platforms – favorites of a season. "Glass" platforms of open-toe sandals organically look in ethnocollection of Donna Karan, being accompanied with draperies of the muffled shades. A reverse story we can see looking on Sonia Rykiel – here bright shoes with transparent heels accompany to minimalistic apparels.
Charles Lagerfeld once again subordinates classical ideas of Chanel to tendencies of a new season: we can observe plastic open-toe sandals on a platform decorated with beads and tremendous shapeless bags of transparent plastic with firm thong - chain. Evening variant of a transparent handbag – at Blumarine: the plastic bags - purses decorated with pearls. New collection Fendi shows a combination of a traditional cut with futuristic materials which have found the full reflection in accessories, namely – in bags made of silicone. Stella McCartney has not ignored transparent plastic also. It would seem, her collection does not assume also a hint on such material, but we can see large beads which give to her gentle and simultaneously bright city clothes some kind of freshness. This way thoughtless transparent plastic unexpectedly became a material recovering collections the most known fashion houses.
