Loosing a mind because of shoes
17.01.2007
Similarly to well-known Carrie Bredshow, the majority of women like various shoes. "Like" - perhaps, is too softly word: in this year inhabitants of the Great Britain have spent 9.4 billion euro for footwear. Researches confirm, that the market will grow farther, and in 2010 the profit of sellers of footwear will increase up to 11.1 billions euro.
But in France and Italy demand for shoes for some reason not so impressive. For example, in Italy, in spite of the fact that the profit of the shoe companies has made almost 14.6 billion euro this year, the market has grown up only on 1 % for last five France also cannot brag of deafening success – sales for last 5 years have grown up only on 4 %.
In the sum Italy, Germany, Sweden, Great Britain and France make the five of the largest shoe markets of Europe.
According to research Mintel, each tenth woman in the Great Britain (or 2.6 million women is older than 15 years) keeps in the wardrobe about 30 pairs of footwear. Every fifth (20 %) – between 16 and 30 pairs.
